Isa Ruth Mabel

Isa Ruth Mabel is a public health researcher, advocate and social entrepreneur committed to improving maternal health outcomes in underprivileged communities. She holds a BSc in Microbiology and a Master of Public Health from the University of Derby, United Kingdom, focused on health inequities and community-based interventions. As founder of Grace Maternal Foundation (Ìyá Àti Ọmọ) she oversees strategic direction, the research agenda and community engagement, linking isolated waterfront communities to the formal health system through low-tech, high-trust solutions that respect local culture and encourage evidence-based care. She is determined that no woman is left behind because of where she lives.

Before her postgraduate study she gained NGO-sector experience across advocacy, policy development, education and social development. Her volunteer work supports the Sustainable Development Goals, engaging communities and amplifying marginalised voices.

Raised by a mother who exemplified the sacrifices and resilience of womanhood, she grounds her practice in empathy, cultural awareness and dignity for all mothers and children.
