Grace Maternal Foundation was established to improve maternal healthcare access and health outcomes for women and children in Nigeria's underserved waterfront communities. It is named in memory of the founder's late mother, Grace, and it carries her name as a promise.
The care it offers is warm and human, never clinical. It reaches women in the places they live and the language they speak, including the waterfront settlements that formal services rarely serve.
That promise is simple to say and hard to keep: that every mother is seen, supported, and carried with dignity. It is the standard the Foundation holds itself to in everything it builds.

Our name is Yoruba, Ìyá Àti Ọmọ, mother and child. We work in the language mothers speak and the customs they keep, never around them.

Care should feel like being received, not processed. The welcome is warm and human, never clinical.
Hope
Most risks in pregnancy can be prevented. Met in time, a mother recovers and her child grows, and that is what we plan for.

We keep records, follow the evidence and account for what we do, so that families and partners can trust us.

Founder
Isa Mabel founded Grace Maternal Foundation in memory of her mother, turning personal loss into a commitment to the mothers of the waterfront communities.
Her vision is a Foundation that is culturally rooted and professionally run, one that honours Yoruba identity while standing with confidence in both Nigerian and international contexts.
The work is carried by volunteers
Alongside the board, the Foundation's work in the waterfront communities is carried by volunteers who give their time: administrative support, media, and clinical support in the field. More join as the work grows.
